I have been reading, underling, and trying to form some kind of outline to condense all of this information. Alzheimer's is such an interesting topic, that I fear I may write too much and sway from my thesis statement. I need to stay focused on my main points.
I'm also writing another paper for Anatomy 2 on the stomach. I hope I won't mix the two and accidentally state something about gastric fluid in the brain! (just a little humor!)
I went to the book store on Tuesday and purchased an excellent book called The Alzheimer's Action Plan, by Doraiswamy, P., Gwyther, L., & Adler, T. It will be very helpful for learning the different stages of this disease and details the most recent treatment available for this disease.
I look forward to hearing how everyone else is progressing with their papers.
See ya in class!

It is a broad topic, but one that we all want to know more about because almost everyone's life has been touched by some one suffering with alzheimers.
ReplyDeleteWe will try to help you from getting confused!
Mary, this topic is a huge undertaking since Alzheimer's is becoming more and more prevalent within our society. I wonder if it's due to all the electronics and preservatives in our food. Your research will give us some idea I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your paper, I have to get started on mine, so far I have my thesis statement and research articles. Mine is on Menopause and the effects of Hormone Replacement Therapy, another controversial subject.
See you in Class Joanne
